Stardust Hotel, Las Vegas

The Stardust, one of Las Vegas’ oldest and most classic hotels, is set to be destroyed early next year. Not much of a city for sentimentality or preserving historical artifacts, the land has been bought and the hotel will be imploded early next year to make way for a new hotel or shopping center. Despite that it’s sad that one of Las Vegas’ most memorable icons will be torn down, at least the Stardust has had a good run, one that has lasted almost fifty years.

Here’s another neat article on the hotel.
