Las Vegas Trailblazers

Calico Hills Moody Sky
Red Rock Canyon

This evening, I am going for my very first hike with the Las Vegas Trailblazers. It’s a group of people that get together on a regular basis to go hiking through various parts of the Southwest. Red Rock Canyon is a favorite, because it’s pretty accessible.

I’m going with strangers, so this should be interesting. It’s a 2 hour hike that starts at 5:45, so I am assuming it’s going to be completely dark when we’re through. (I brought a flash light). We’re going up 1,000 feet in elevation and the hike is just over three miles. It sounds pretty easy, but I’m not an advanced hiker, so it may be really really difficult. I’m looking forward to it, though.

Afterwards, we’re going to this place called the Outside Inn for “Rehydration”, which I think is hiking lingo for “drinking beer”. Awesome.
