I want to ride my bicycle…, originally uploaded by diavoli.

Whew, this crazy, crazy summer is about to end. It will be officially fall in about 10 days.

This summer, I have:

Quit a steady job.
Started a new job.
Moved to a new house.
Went to Los Angeles for a weekend.
Got fired from my job.
Mikkel from Denmark visited for 9 days.
Spent a couple weeks in temp job limbo.
Started a new job.
Logan from Oklahoma came to visit for Labor Day.

All in the span of three months, whew! I am exhausted and ready for a break. Mom is coming to visit around my birthday in October. Other than that, I don’t have a whole lot going on. And it’s lovely. I just want to sit back, relax and live a simple, routine, sane life for a while. With no firings or hirings or movings. I just kind of want to be a hermit, and hang out with my friends on the weekend.

I like my new job, I work as a graphic designer for a magazine called Casino Connection here in Las Vegas.

In other news, I am thinking about starting to ride my bike to work. To save money on gas, and to get exercise. It’s about 8.5 miles each way. Last night, I did a test ride, and rode about 15 of the 17 miles, to map out a good route. I got home, and I was exhausted. I went to bed soon after. I woke up this morning, and am still exhausted. I’m not sore, I just have that feeling in my body that makes me want to cocoon myself in my bed and never come out.

I am hoping to make the first attempt to bike all the way to work sometime this week.

Wish me luck.
